Thomas Kelly is a Legal Director at Clyde & Co, having qualified into the Marine and International Trade department in 2009. His main area of practice is in shipping, and consists largely of charterparty dispute resolution and shipbuilding/offshore advice and dispute resolution, particularly for clients in South Korea.
Since qualifying, he has been heavily involved in several large shipbuilding arbitrations, and a lengthy High Court trial, all on behalf of shipyards. He has also advised on and managed a very large number of charterparty related arbitration and High Court claims for Owners and Charterers, often involving complex charter chains and security.
