Dan Tindall advises clients on a wide range of transactional matters in the shipping and related energy areas. He has particular expertise in the negotiation of structured finance and leasing transactions in the shipping industry, largely for owners, but also for banks and for charterers, as well as of shipbuilding contracts both on behalf of shipbuilders and of buyers, and covering all the principal vessel types, extending to mega yachts, where he has negotiated contracts for a considerable proportion of the largest yachts built over the last 15 years.

Dan graduated from the London School of Economics, qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and spent 25 years with Holman Fenwick & Willan (20 of those years as a partner) before in 2007 becoming managing director of a shipowning company based in Athens and specialising in container vessels. He joined Clyde & Co in 2010. He is a trustee of the Sir John Fisher Foundation, a charitable foundation focussing, amongst other areas, on maritime causes.
